#everysordiddetail Launches at Open Space Gallery in Victoria
David LaRiviere’s multi-faceted media arts project #everysordiddetail launches into its presentation phase this month at Open Space, via a gallery exhibition, as well as the launch of the Anti-Tourism mobile app. This online component will orient folks to the anti-tourism tour David has been developing as part of his residency over the past two months.
#everysordiddetail seeks to create an an alternative and uncensored map of Victoria through audio interviews with people who live here. From these fragmentary and messy bits of real life, LaRiviere has created an interactive map and audio tour of the city, geo-locating interviews to the site where they occurred, and allowing those who take the audio tour to experience everyday surfaces imbued with a new sense
